Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for several years. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA, where she faced many racial taunts that made her feel like a non-person. She began to gain confidence during the 9th grade, when she entered a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her performance. The experience not only boosted her confidence but also shifted her goals for the future. She graduated from the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. Her professional career began at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot She played the Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. The following year, in 2007 she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. As a well-known singer, she has also released a single as well as an extended play. She also works as an LGBT activist.
