Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally known as Andra day is an American R&B singer-songwriter. Alongside an award like a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she's also up for nomination as the winner of an Academy Award. Andra Day, a talented artist and songwriter, with a strong background in blues and gospel music that has a passion for the contemporary world, is more than just an R&B throwback specialist. Her ability to blend her jazz influences with gospel, and blues into the R&B genre is impressive. Growing up living in San Diego and surrounding areas, she began performing at church, and then enrolled in the School of Creative and Performing Arts. She shifted her focus from modern R&B and pop when she graduated and was later attracted back to the jazz and soul singers that she had listened to as a child. An important break occurred when a performance of hers was noticed by Kai Millard Morris who subsequently offered some of Day's songs to husband Stevie Wonder. Day, who was allied to Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans Buskin Label Day was a viral YouTube star after which she signed with Warner Bros. In 2012 Day released Forever Mine as her debut track on YouTube. It was quickly picked up by DJs and they began playing it on the radio. In the year 2015, following her signing with Warner Bros. Records she began working on her debut record Cheers To The Fall with Adrian Gurvitz. It featured the track Rise Up which has become an international anthem of social justice movements. Day's album was nominated at least two times for the Grammy Awards. This included Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album that chronicles the legendary jazz artist's life, was released in the year the year 2019. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is a biographical account of Holiday that was released the following year. Andi Matichak, an American actress. She first appeared in television shows like 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods before making her movie debut as Allyson Nelson in the film horror series Halloween and its sequels. Andi Mattichak was born the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
